Accommodation
The AFAC & Bushfire CRC 2012 conference has secured rooms at special conference rates at several hotels and apartments. Bookings can be made during or after the registration process. You will need to select your hotel, indicate arrival and departure dates, arrival time and provide at least one night's deposit in advance to secure your booking.
NB: Some hotels do require full pre-payment.
* Sharing rooms - Sharing rooms does not result in any increase in tariff and is an effective means of reducing the cost of attending the meeting. Please indicate on your registration the room style you require and, if known, the names of other delegates with whom you wish to share. Each person will be charged one night in advance.
* Extending your stay- The venues will offer the conference rate to delegates arriving early or staying on after the conference. Please contact the secretariat if you require additional nights outside those indicated on the accommodation page of the online process. Changes to your booking should always be done through the conference secretariat NOT the hotel itself.
* Check-in times - Rooms are not guaranteed available until 2:00 pm on the day of check-in though can be made available earlier in the day at the discretion of the hotel itself. If you wish to ensure an early check-in, you should reserve the room for the previous night.
* Cancellations – Cancellation policies apply to each hotel and usually apply when cancellations are made within 30 days of arrival.Please contact the secretariat if you wish to cancel your stay and would like to know the cancellation policy.
* Availability – When selecting a hotel room through your dashboard, a tick indicates availability for that night, whilst an icon of an envelope indicates there is either no availability or a request to the hotel needs to be made by the secretariat ASN to include those dates. Please contact the secretariat ASN if you have any queries regarding accommodation.
